The Green House

T & M is pleased to be working in cooperation with the HBA of Northwest Connecticut and the Litchfield County Board of Realtors in presenting the "Green House".  This home is being built at 96 Tognalli Drive (lot #14 Torrington Chase) in Torrington and will showcase environmentally friendly construction.   The house style is the Senator.  An article about the groundbreaking appeared on the front page of the Register-Citizen newspaper. There is also coverage about the groundbreaking in Nation's Building News and it is featured on buildingctgreen.com.

The "Green House" T & M is building at Torrington Chase was also featured in an article in the November 30 Hartford Courant. The house was also featured in a story on the Channel 3 news November 20.

The Groundbreaking for the Green House took place November 1.

Concrete was poured for the footing on November 20.

 In the background of the November 20 photo below is the concrete being poured while in the foreground are (left to right) Henry Rozewski of Progress Lighting holding an ENERGY STAR light fixture similar to the ones to be used in the home, Chris Sheedy of All American Plumbing & Heating next to the dual flush toilet, the same style that will be used in the Green House and which now can be seen in the  Senator model home at Colchester Chase III, Eugene Farley of the Torrington Lumber Company, manufacturer of the ENERGY STAR double hung windows to be used in the home, a can of the Sherwin-Williams low VOC paint planned to be used in the home,  T & M President Greg Ugalde and Torrington City Planner Martin Connor.
